The U1808 FMC Interface Card interfaces Garmin and Avidyne FMS's into legacy Pro Line 4/21 aircraft. Simply slide out the Collins FMC-4000/6000 series FMS card and install the U1808 into the ICC Card Cage. The New FMS interfaces with the existing Collins CDU wiring, creating an OEM look and functionality. The U1808 FMS functions to the Garmin and Avidyne offerings, such as Performance (PERF) data bases, Radar/EFIS Control (where applicable), CPDLC interface.

The installation requires the replacement of the existing Rockwell Collins FMS with the U1808 FMC Interface Cards. These cards interface an FMS that outputs GAMA ARINC 429 with the existing Collins Avionics. The existing Collins FMS CDU is removed, but the existing wiring is reused. Currently (as of Feb 2025) this has been STC'd on Gulfstream G200 aircraft and Canaan Avionics is developing more STC's on other platforms.

Standard features include [but not limitted to] Localizer Performance in Vertical (LPV), high resolution moving map displays, Fuel Management functions, Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (ADS-B) both 'Out' and 'In'. Options Include Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), Performance Databases, and advanced EFIS Controls.
